  • The Jessner peel is defined as a medium-depth chemical peel, meaning it falls between superficial peels and deep peels. The Jessner solution affects only the upper layer of the dermis in a controlled manner.

    The solution triggers an inflammatory response from the skin layers below the top-most layer. This leads to the removal of actinic keratoses, or sun damage, and the improvement of minor hyperpigmentation, scarring, wrinkles, and loss of tone.

    A Jessner peel is a combination peel. Salicylic acid dissolves hardened skin cells within the epidermal layer of the skin, lactic acid adds hydration, and resorcinol is a natural antiseptic
